Appeal for witnesses following fatal collision

Police have appealed for witnesses following a fatal collision in Kingsteignton on Friday, 2 October.

Emergency services were called to a collision involving a black Mercedes Vito on Newton Road at around 3.30pm.

A spokesperson for Devon and CornwallPolice said: “A 91 year old pedestrian was taken to Derriford Hospital with life threatening injuries, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries. Newton Road was closed for approximately 3 and half hours to allow for an examination of the scene, and recovery of a vehicle.”

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses of the incident to come forward quoting log 519 Friday 2nd October 2020.
