Appeal for witnesses following fatal collision

Emergency services at scene of collision near Brixham

Police have appealed for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A38 in Plymouth on Tuesday, 26 October.

A local 22-year-old man died at the scene which happened on the A38 Northbound just before Manadon.

Emergency services were called at around 2.15pm to reports of a collision involving a blue Mazda MX5 and a stationary Scania lorry in a layby.

Police, the fire service and ambulance crews attended the scene. The carriageway was closed for around seven hours whilst investigations and vehicle recovery took place.

Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and appealing for any witnesses to come forward. They would also like to hear from anyone with relevant dash cam footage.
