Police have appealed for witnesses following a fatal collision in Plymouth at the weekend.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving a green Lexus saloon car on Embankment Road, at around 2.10am, on Saturday 7 January.

The driver, a 21-year-old man from Plymouth, sustained serious injuries. He later died in hospital. His next of kin have been informed.

The road was closed whilst officers investigated the scene and re-opened at around 1.45pm.

Police would particularly like to hear from anyone with dash cam footage of the vehicle prior to the collision.
