Appeal for witnesses following incident on Torquay beach

Police have appealed for witnesses after a report that a man exposed himself to a woman on a Torquay beach

The incident, in which the man committed the act before being verbally abusive to the woman, is reported to have taken place on Torre Abbey Sands between 3pm and 4pm on Monday 29 March. A man intervened and was assaulted on two occasions.

A man, aged 37, from Torquay, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of threatening behaviour, assault and exposure and has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

Anyone with any information which could assist police enquiries is asked to call police on 101 or email quoting crime reference CR/024695/21.
