Appeal for witnesses following nightclub assault

Trains delayed due to incident at Torre train station

Police have appealed for witnesses following a serious assault at a nightclub in Plymouth at the weekend.

The incident happened The DEPO in Union Street around 1.15am on Saturday 2 April.

Two men are reported to have been struck by a glass by another man following an altercation on the dance floor.

Both victims received cuts to their heads. One of the men, who is in his 30s and from Plymouth, was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment for a serious cut to his head.

However the second victim left before police were able to speak with him and detectives are now urging him to come forward.

A 20-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Detectives investigating the assault are appealing for any witnesses to contact them and are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may be able to identify the second victim.
