Appeal for witnesses following road rage incident in Torquay

Police have appealed for witnesses following road rage incident in Torquay last week.

Police investigating reports of an unprovoked road rage assault on a disabled driver.

The incident happened on Browns Bridge Road on Friday 22 November between 12.05pm and 12.20pm.

It followed a traffic incident in which the victim, aged in his 50s, pulled over at the side of the road and another car stopped behind him.

A female suspect got out of the second vehicle and approached the victim, who was assaulted through the driver’s side window of his car.

He suffered scratches to his face and neck.

The victim’s wife’s mobile phone was also damaged during the incident.
