Police have appealed for witnesses after a man was viciously assaulted and almost blinded in road rage incident.
The incident happened on the A38 Woodpecker Junction, South Brent, at around 9am, on Wednesday 24 March.
An altercation broke out between two men, after a white SUV pulled out in front of a white Peugeot van from the Avonwick Junction on the A38 slip road, Plymouth-bound.
A 35-year-old man was seriously assaulted, he was taken to Torbay District Hospital, where he underwent treatment for a broken eye socket, having suffered significant damage to his eye, which may result in him losing his sight.
The white SUV subsequently drove off towards Plymouth.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed the incident or whose dashcam may have captured the white SUV vehicle and its registration number, to help police trace the driver.
Detective Constable William Young, said: “This road rage incident very quickly escalated into extreme violence.
“The victim could suffer life-changing injuries as a result. We would urge anyone with information or video footage to come forward and assist us.”
