Appeal for witnesses following serious collision on A38

Police have appealed for witnesses following a serious collision on the A38 near Chudleigh yesterday 27 June.

Emergency services were called to reports of a serious collision involving one vehicle, which was on fire just after 4pm.

The A38 was closed in both directions whilst the incident was dealt with.

Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene.

Five casualties have been taken to hospital, two with serious injuries and three with less serious injuries.
