Police were called to Winner Street in Paignton last night (Monday 26th September) following concerns for a man’s welfare.
Firearms officers, police support unit (PSU) officers, a dog unit and police negotiators attended the scene at a property on the street, and a cordon was set up around the immediate area which included the closure of some roads.
Police ascertained that there was no immediate threat to the man, to members of the public or to police officers and did not attempt to gain entry to the property.
A welfare check will be carried out today.
