Armed police in Ellacombe Torquay

Tools stolen from vans in Torquay and Newton Abbot

There are reports coming in of armed police attending an incident in Ellacombe, Torquay earlier this afternoon, Saturday 31st March.

People at the scene have also said the police helicopter has been hovering over the area.

Locals report there was a large police presence including armed police around the Ellacombe park/Market Street area of the town.

Police have now left the area.

It is currently unknown if the latest incident is connected to last night’s incidents in Kingskerswell and Goodrington. The police have now confirmed yesterday’s incidents were connected and enquiries continue.
