Award winning local band plan fundraiser for the Music Venue Trust

Award winning young band, 3 Days of Wonder are making an impact on the local music scene in many ways, winning Devon’s Best New Act and Wildcard Battle of the Bands Exeter already this year. Now they are planning to give back to the community that supports them by creating a fundraising event for the Music Venue Trust to benefit grassroots music venues in the UK.

Lead singer, Luke Notman, says, “We believe that grassroots music venues are an essential part of our cultural backdrop. We need to be shouting out about these venues and for us that means giving our time and energy to put on a fundraiser.”

The Music Venue Trust was founded in 2014, providing recognition and support for grassroots music venues across the UK, including Hull Adelphi, Exeter Cavern, The 100 Club and the Barrel House Ballroom, Totnes. The Trustees are professionals who are passionate about the social, cultural and economic value of these vital venues and their essential role in the development of British music.

Barrel House Ballroom, who have benefited from investment from the Music Venue Trust, are hosting the event on Saturday 26th April, supporting young musicians and raising funds for this vital organisation. Local band Die Twic will be headlining the event, with support from 3 Days of Wonder, Leonard and the Zombies and Poppyshow.

Finn Arnold, lead guitarist, says, “Grassroots music venues inspire the next generation of musicians to make their way in the industry, so we’re asking you to join us for one of the best parties we can give – live original music performed at one of the best grassroots music venues in the country.”

Tickets are available now!
