Beach huts in Preston targeted by vandals

Beach hits in Preston, Paignton have been the target of vandals overnight.

A number of beach huts along the seafront were damaged. The damage ranges from doors being forced open to significant damage to the actual beach hut.

The beach huts have only recently been returned to the front ready for the summer months.

Tor Bay Harbour Authority & Beaches said on Facebook this morning:
“Not the best start to the day as the team were alerted to report of vandalised beach hut at Preston Beach. Inspections have taken place this morning and affected customers will be contacted.

“Anyone with any information please contact Devon & Cornwall Police on 101,”
