Belgrave Road closed due to accident

The road was closed in both directions.

Update: The road is now open. A man, believed to be in his 80s was taken to hospital. There is currently no update on his condition.

Belgrave Road in Torquay is currently closed in both directions due to an accident involving a pedestrian.

Traffic is being diverted along Bampflyde Road (if you are heading towards the sea front) and Tor Church Road (by the Bull & Bush pub) in the other direction.

The road is closed in both directions.

There is no information at present on the condition of the pedestrian.

There is a large police presence at the scene.

The road has been closed since approximately 8.15pm. It is currently unknown when it may reopen.
