Belgrave Road, Torquay closed to due to accident

Police have closed part of Belgrave Road

Update 10pm: The road has reopened.

Update: Police have said that they expect the road to be closed for ‘some time’

Police at the scene have stated a woman was involved in a collision with a car.

Torquay Police posted to Facebook:

“We are treating this as a serious RTC at this time so the road could be closed for a while. Please be patient while we conduct our investigation. Thank you,”

Part of Belgrave Road in Torquay is currently closed due to an accident.

Police are at the scene.

It is understood that a person has been knocked down by a vehicle and has been taken to hospital.

There is no update as yet on that persons condition.

It is not known how long the road will be closed. We will continue to update as information becomes available.
