Body found in search for missing South Devon woman

A body has been found in the sesrch for a woman in South Devon.

Peta Harper, 58, from the Kingsbridge area, was reported missing on Monday 11th November.

Emergency services including Police, Coastguard and the RNLI have been involved in land and water searches of the area.

Sadly, a body was located today, Saturday 16th November during a search.

Kingsbridge Police said on Facebook: “Today, searches have been carried out around a system of caves within the cliffs at Hope Cove. It is with great sadness to report that the body of a female was located within the cave structure. Formal identification has not yet taken place but the family of Peta Harper, who was reported as missing from Aveton Gifford on Monday have been informed.
A file will now be prepared for HM Coroner.
Our sincere condolences to the friends and family of Peta.”
