Book reading event to inspire children’s love for nature

Cricketfield Community Garden in Torquay is thrilled to announce a special book reading event featuring “The Mushroamers,” the first installment in a captivating series designed to ignite children’s passion for nature and outdoor adventures while promoting healthier, screen-reduced lifestyles.

On Tuesday, October 24th at Cricketfield Community Garden, children and families will embark on an enchanting journey that encourages them to reconnect with the great outdoors and nurture both physical and mental well-being. The reading will start at 11am.

“The Mushroamers” takes readers on an enthralling adventure with three young protagonists – Willow, Fern, and Ash. These adventurous friends wake up to a mysterious sound that beckons them to explore and uncover its source. Along the way, they encounter new discoveries and collaborate as a team to achieve their common goal.

Amie Williams, the creative mind behind this extraordinary series, said “‘I’m so excited to be able to share The Mushroamers with you, and to be able to bring local children together at Cricketfield Community Garden for some fresh air and fun.”
