Independent British snack brand Burts is expanding, after capitalising on growth with a raft of new innovation. As the company looks to continue to grow, it is hiring for 20 new permanent roles across a variety of departments within the business.
The Plymouth-based brand, which has achieved national acclaim for its products’ superior taste, all made with care in Devon using only the finest and locally sourced ingredients, is currently recruiting for Planners, Warehouse and Production Staff and has many other opportunities for career progression. Burts has grown 300% in the last five years and maintained its surging growth despite the pandemic. The brand is set for further progress in 2022 as it rebrands and launches a vast amount of new products.
Amongst the new products is the new limited-edition Prawn Cocktail flavour, featuring a co-designed pack with charity partner, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). Burts is also launching a range of new Lentil Chips, available in Lightly Sea Salted, Sour Cream & Chive and Barbecue flavours. In addition to this the snacking brand is also launching two crisps in an entirely new Ridges range – Steak Surf & Turf and Reaper Chilli & Lime.
With the upcoming months being pivotal for the brand, now is the time to build the team, as Burts Snacks CEO, Dave McNulty explains: “We are very fortunate to be experiencing a period of rapid expansion, which everyone in the business is delighted about. This has been a huge year for Burts so far with our new packaging and innovation, and I can’t wait to see where we can take the company next. We are just scratching the surface in terms of innovation with the tremendous manufacturing capabilities we have. This is just the start of our innovation journey, we want Burts to be a brand that can grow and grow.”
