A man in his 20s dies following boxing day crash

A man in his 20s has died has died following a crash on the A38 on Boxing day.

The man passed away on Tuesday, 16th January as a result of a collision which happened between Rattery and Buckfastleigh.

The single vehicle collision occurred on the Eastbound carriage way. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.20pm and the road was closed for six and a half hours whilst investigation work took place.

As a result of the collision the driver of the vehicle, a Red Renault Clio, was taken to Derriford Hospital in a critical condition.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact the police via 101@dc.police.uk or by calling 101 quoting log 524 26/12/17
