Brixham Police warn to be vigilant after thefts from work vans

Police have warned the public to vigilant after thefts from work vans and suspicious activity in Brixham over the weekend

Police have warned businesses not to leave tools in their unattended vans after tools were stolen overnight.

There have also been two reports of a male looking through house and car windows.

A spokesperson for Brixham Police posted on their Facebook page today, 22nd October: 

“We have had a spate of suspicious incidents over the weekend, late Friday night on Bakers Hill a member of the public reports seeing a male looking into a house and car windows. He is described as a white male in his 40’s and of a stocky build. Yesterday evening between 1830 and 1900 hrs another similar incident occured on Milton Street.

“Further to the above, overnight last night 3 work vans have been entered across Brixham, with tools being stolen from within.
“We will of course be about, as will our dog units, but respectfully please be vigilant, please report anything suspicious to us and please do not keep tools in your unattended vehicles,”
