Brixham property severely damaged in fire

Emergency services were called to a fire at a property in Brixham last night.

Fire crews were mobilised to the incident Mount Pleasant Road just after 11pm.

Two fire engines from Brixham attended initially and requested an additional 2 pumps from Torquay and Paignton to attend as the property was well alight.

Fire Emergency Support Services (FESS) were requested to attend and Police were also in attendance.

A fire service spokesperson said:
“Crews used 6 Breathing Apparatus, 2 main jets, 2 hose reel jets, 1 safety jet, a thermal imaging camera and a positive pressure ventilation fan. The fire caused severe damage within the first and second floors of a 3 storey premises.”

All persons were accounted for.
