Burts brings home the gold at Taste of the West Awards

Well-loved South West brand, Burts, did what they like to call a ‘proper good job’ at this year’s Taste of the West Awards, winning a total of 13 Gold awards under the Snacks & Light Eats category.

The wins include seven flavours of its core range, the brand’s limited-edition Prawn Cocktail flavour in support of helping to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), two flavours of Ridges and three flavours of Lentil Chips.

Taste of the West aims to help promote and support fantastic local food and drink from the South West region and provides the opportunity to convey the quality and values of West Country businesses to buyers and consumers.

The Plymouth-based snack maker is proud that all its award-winning products are hand-cooked with care in Devon using ingredients from local, independent suppliers such as Exeter’s Quickes Cheese and Cornwall’s Artisan Malt Vinegar Company.

Dave McNulty, CEO, Burts Snacks said: “We pride ourselves on creating authentic flavours featuring ingredients locally sourced in Devon and the South West from independent suppliers and growers. To get awarded Gold for our whole range, including our newly launched products, is something we’re incredibly proud of as it further cements our quality and taste credentials.”
