Calling all horticulture employers

South Devon College provides the Level 2 Horticulture and Landscape Operative Apprenticeship and the popularity of this course has increased year on year. The apprenticeship covers a range of areas. It will see students learn about amenity and production horticulture. Themes will include landscaping, which covers the planning, creation and maintenance of designed landscapes, both urban and rural, such as parks and planning of domestic gardens. Production horticulture deals with the large-scale production of plants for food and ornamental purposes.

We have had a significant growth in students applying to study Horticulture apprenticeships and are happy to announce we are looking for more employers that can offer apprenticeship positions for aspiring and dedicated students. Recruiting an apprentice is a great way to grow your workforce and introduce new, developing talent to your business. It also gives your existing workforce the chance to develop their ability to train others.
