Officers believe both bikes (pictured) are likely to have been taken away in a van because they are designed in such a way that they cannot be driven off without a key.

A police spokesperson said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area at the time.

“The motorbikes were taken on the weekend of BMAD event when thousands of bikes came to Torbay.

“We also want to warn the public to be vigilant and ensure their motorbikes are secure at all times to reduce the likelihood of them being a target for thieves.”

Anyone with information about the stolen motorcycles is asked to email101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk, call 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111, quoting reference CR/030357/15 (Honda) or CR/030470/15 (Aprilia).
