Car crashes into Newton Abbot bank

The window and cash machine of a bank in Newton Abbot were severely damaged today, Monday 14th May after an out of control car crashed into them.

The incident happened this afternoon at Santander in Queen Street.

People at the scene say a Black Honda Jazz reversed at high speed, mounting the curb and crashing into the bank.

The driver, an elderly man was not injured. Fortunately, the car missed pedestrians.
