Car destroyed by fire on A380

A car was destroyed by fire in the A380 earlier this morning, Saturday 15 May.

The Fire Service received multiple calls for a report of a car on fire on the A380 Southbound between the Ashcombe/Teignmouth turn off and Wapperwell, Ideford.

The incident happened around 10am, two fire engines attended, one fire from Dawlish and a one from Middlemoor.

The road was closed whilst the incident was dealt with.

The car totally destroyed by fire. The cause of the fire was accidental.

No one was injured.
