Car destroyed in suspected arson attack in Torquay

The fire service were called out to a car fire in Torquay in the early hours of this morning.

The fire service received several calls reporting a car on fire at the bottom of Salisbury Avenue at around 3am.

2 fire engines from Torquay were mobilised to the incident.

The Fire service have stated that the cause of the fire is thought to be deliberate.

The car was destroyed in the fire.

Police were also requested due to the nature of the incident.

The suspected arson attack follows 2 cars fires and a caravan fire in Torquay over the past week.
