This will include details of performance against the Strategy together with the current position relating to dentistry provision and oral health in Torbay.
The meeting will be held at the Town Hall, Castle Circus, Torquay, TQ1 3DR, on Thursday, 23 November 2023, starting at 2pm. It will be open to the public to attend to listen to the update and debate.

Partners from the Integrated Care Board (ICB), the South West Commissioning Hub (NHS), and Public Health (Torbay Council) have been invited to the meeting to provide further information and responses.

Members of the public are invited to submit general questions on the subject before the meeting. They are asked to email questions to scrutiny@torbay.gov.uk by Friday, 17 November 2023. Please note that the Sub-Board will not be able to consider individual cases or personal circumstances.

Councillor Cat Johns, Vice-Chair of the Sub-Board, said: “Improvements in dental access and planned oral health improvement initiatives remain a priority both locally and nationally.

“It’s important that we continue to work with our partners to understand and measure the performance and delivery of the Strategy and continue to seek new ways of addressing the challenges faced by Torbay residents around access to dental services and maintaining good oral health.”

The agenda and meeting documents are due to be published on Tuesday, 21 November 2023 on the Torbay Council website.
