Police have appealed for witnesses following a serious collision in Paignton this morning, Friday 15 April.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving a van and a child on Hyde Road at around 10.50am.
The collision occurred at a pedestrian crossing.
The road was closed for several hours whilst investigation work took place.
The child was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to an officer call 101 quoting log 323 15/04/222.
