A spokesperson for Torbay Coastguard said on their Facebook page:
“We were called to assist Devon and Somerset Fire and rescue, recover their pump and hoses off Oddicombe beach. The equipment had been cut off by the tide whilst fighting a fire on the cliffs. Teignmouth lifeboat was tasked to assist our team members. All the equipment was recovered to an awaiting appliance. A great example of multi agencies working together.
