Young people’s climate anxiety is soaring due to lack of access to green space, says Woodland Trust

Taking place on Teignmouth Beach on Sunday 11 June, The Colour Rush invites participants to complete a 5k run along the beach, while being showered with tonnes of multi-coloured powder paint.

Rowcroft’s Events Manager, Daniel Robson, explained: “The Colour Rush is an epic day of rainbow-coloured fun for the whole family.

“The action will kick off at 11.30am with music from The Breeze, food and drinks stalls, and some inflatable fun! Those who’ve signed up to The Colour Rush will then be challenged to run, walk or even dance their way around the rainbow-coloured 5k route.

“The Colour Rush 5k will be followed by an epic mass paint throw on the beach – which with a LOT of people and bags of paint is guaranteed to be big, bright and colour crazy!”

This year registration for The Colour Rush is open to children as young as eight-years-old.

Daniel added: “We’re delighted to be able to offer the whole family chance to take part in this multi-coloured event by lowering our age limit; The Colour Rush is all about celebration, having fun and supporting your local hospice!”

All those who sign up for The Colour Rush Teignmouth are encouraged to raise as much in sponsorship as possible to support the thousands of people Rowcroft cares for in the Teignbridge area, and across South Devon, every year.

Daniel added: “In 2016 Rowcroft supported more than 2,000 people living with life-limiting illnesses in South Devon, and of those 392 lived in the Teignbridge area.

“The Colour Rush Teignmouth is the perfect opportunity to celebrate and support the work we do in your community – plus it’s sure to put a smile on your face!”

To sign up for The Colour Rush today and take advantage of your exclusive discount code, visit www.thecolourrush.co.uk today.
