Taking place on Teignmouth Beach on Saturday 12 May, The Colour Rush Teignmouth invites participants to complete a 5k run while being showered with rainbow-coloured powder paint all whilst raising vital funds to support their local hospice.
Last year over 750 took part in the hugely popular paint-fuelled 5k, raising more than £56,000 for local people living with life-limiting illnesses.
The event village will open at 9am, with registration, sponsorship pay in and a warm up provided by So Street Dance Crew. The Colour Rush 5k then begins at 10:30am, followed by a legendary mass paint throw on the beach at 12pm. Stick around for an afternoon of live music from bands including 3 Bags Full, Harbour, Kaizens, Rich Cottell and the Screamin’ Weasels.
Stewart Molyneux, Rowcroft’s Events Manager, said: “We are counting down the days until Teignmouth’s seafront is showered with multi-coloured powder paint. It’s such a memorable day, putting smiles on everyone’s face whilst raising vital funds for our hospice.”
Online registration closes on 6th May, however, Rowcroft will be offering on the day sign-ups from 9am at The Den on Teignmouth seafront.
Stewart added: “Once again, The Colour Rush has been immensely popular. There are limited spaces available on the day and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.”
Stewart added: “It really is a great day for all the family, little ones as young as eight can now sign up and get involved in the colour crazy fun!”
“We’ve got a jam packed day of entertainment planned, which is free to attend! So bring your family and friends along and watch our colour rushers transform Teignmouth.”
All those aged over eight-years-old can sign up to take part in The Colour Rush Teignmouth for the one-off payment of £25 for adults and £15 for children.
