Fortunately Elsie and her cat were unharmed in the blaze.

Elsie was left in the clothes she stood in. She is currently staying at her friends house with her cat.

Spotted Torquay appealed to the community to help find Elsie this morning to see how they could help. It didn’t take long to find her…

Spotted put out an appeal and there were soon offers of items, services and money. A fundraising page was set up (This has been set up by a friend of Elsies. We thought it best for a friend to have the account) the initial target was set at £500, in less than an hour, that was hit… a short time later, doubled! The total currently stands at £1385, and it’s rising.

The current amount will help Elsie get back on track. But can we do more? Can we raise enough to help Elsie get home? Time will tell. With offers from builders, painters, architects, roofers and other trades.. let’s hope that Elsie and her cat can get back to where they belong.
