Controlled drugs seized and four arrested after raids in Torquay

More drugs have been seized and are off the streets this evening, after a police raided three properties in Torquay today.

Drugs believed to be heroin and crack cocaine and cash was seized from the properties in the Melville Street area.

Four people have been arrested.

Torquay Police said on Facebook:
“Earlier today, officers from a number of policing teams, including officers from the Torquay Neighbourhood Team, raided three properties in Torquay under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

“Four people were arrested and are assisting officers with their enquiries.

“A quantity of controlled drugs were seized including what we believe to be heroin and crack cocaine with a value of over £2000 as well as a large quantity of cash.

“Further evidence of what we can do with community intelligence.

“If you have any information about crime in your area, please report it by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, calling police on 101 or by emailing the officers directly – torquay@dc.police.uk

“Your details will be kept anonymous,”

Police also posted about the incident on Twitter:
