COVID-19 testing centre open over bank holiday weekend

The COVID-19 mobile testing facility in Torquay will open over the bank holiday weekend.

The unit is open today, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

There is no service on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28. It is hoped that the service will resume after this but this has yet to be confirmed.

If you are eligible for a test you can go to the mobile testing site at Lymington Road in Torquay, TQ1 4BD, but you will need to book online first. This will give you a time slot.

You can apply for a coronavirus test here.

You will need to provide photo ID.

The eligibility criteria now apply to anyone who maybe displaying symptoms, you can check at https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/check-if-you-have-coronavirus-symptoms/.

Car park closure – in order for testing to take place the coach station car park is closed to cars and pedestrians.
