Cyclist airlifted to hospital following collision

A cyclist has been airlifted to hospital following a collision in Torquay this afternoon, Saturday 3rd November.

Emergency services were called to a collision between a a cyclist and a bus on Torquay Road at around 1pm.

The collision happened on the A3022 between Wheatridge Lane (Livermead) to Tarraway Road (Petrol Station, Paignton).

The air ambulance landed at nearby Hollicombe park.

The cyclist was airlifted to Derriford hospital in Plymouth.

Police remain at the scene.
