There are currently delays on the A38 Eastbound at South Brent this evening, Wednesday 16th May due to a car fire.
One lane is closed and traffic is slow in the area of the incident which occurred between A385 (Marley Head Junction) and B3380 (Lower Dean Junction).
The fire has been extinguished, the car was severely damaged.

Two fire crews, one from Ivybridge and one from Ashburton attended the incident.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said on their website: “On arrival, crews confirmed vehicle on public highway well alight. Crews used a hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. Crews also used an environmental pack during the incident.
“The fire caused severe damage to the vehicle, and was deemed as accidental.”
