All dental practices were forced to close due at the start of the COVID-19 outbreak. Since then Urgent Dental Care Hubs have been established across the region – including in Torquay and Exeter and further new Hubs may open within the next few weeks.
If you have a Dental Emergency now you should first contact your own dentist who will be able to provide Advice, Analgesia and Antibiotics where appropriate. If required they will then refer you to a Urgent Dental Care Hub for treatment. If you do not have a dentist you can call 0333 0063300 to gain access to help.
If it is a weekend, and your dentist is not open, you can also access help for urgent dental problems by calling 111 – Devon Dental provide Emergency Dental care over the weekend.
Please note that the Urgent Dental Care Hubs only have limited capacity and therefore only patients with the most urgent problems can be seen face to face for treatment. They are doing an amazing job under very difficult circumstances.
If you are have a problem and looking for treatment when Dental Practices are able to re open then you are able to register for a new NHS Dentist by calling 0333 0063300.
