Organisers, Torbay Athletic Club, are delighted to have further developed the event by adding a brand new event the Ocean Healthcare Torbay 10k. The new event, running just one lap of the half marathon route, gives more runners the chance to experience the thrill of this event and makes an excellent first-run experience. Families and those younger at heart can join in the Fun Run, organised by Torbay Holiday Helpers Network.

Ken Rudge MD Ocean Healthcare:

“We are delighted to be the title sponsor for the 2020 Ocean Healthcare Torbay Half Marathon and new Ocean Healthcare Torbay 10K. These events tie in really well with our philosophy of ‘Live Happy, Care Well’ which we believe is really important to everyone. Running is especially good as it has so many health benefits and is accessible to everyone!”

The event has raised thousands for local charities over the years by both offering free run places and donations. One of the official charities is Rowcroft Hospice.

Alison Upton, Rowcroft’s Community Fundraising Manager: “We are thrilled to be working with Ocean Healthcare Torbay Half Marathon and 10k. Last year, Rowcroft runners raised over £14,000 to support patients in their local community. This year Team Rowcroft is even bigger, and with free training sessions, free-running vests and a superhero eye mask – there is even more reasons to run for Rowcroft! We can’t wait for a great day.”
