A dog has been rescued from cliffs by coastguard crews this afternoon, Sunday 5th May.
Torbay Coastguard and Berry Head Coastguard attended the incident at Meadfoot beach just after midday.
Torbay Coastguard said on Facebook: “We were tasked by Maritime and Coastguard Agency to a dog on the cliffs at Meadfoot Beach, Berry Head Coastguard were also tasked to back us up.
“Once on scene we quickly located the dogs position and had to relocate to an area to enable us to access him. We put in a two stake hold fast and our cliff tech, rigged with our dog rescue bag, was lowered to the dog and then the dog was lowered safely down the cliff to it’s owners,”
