Dog rescued from cliffs in Dawlish

The fire service were called to a report of a man and a dog on a cliff face at Coryton Cove, Dawlish this morning, 4th August.

One fire appliance from Dawlish, one fire appliance from Teignmouth, a Specialist Rescue Team from Camels Head and Specialist Supporting Officers were mobilised to the incident just after 6.30am.

Shortly after the initial call it was confirmed the adult male was now safe but the dog still required rescuing. 
The coastguard were also called to attend the incident.

The dog was located and secured before being recovered safely and  reunited with the owner.
