Emergency services were called to an accident on the A379 earlier this evening.
The collision, which involved 2 vehicles happened at around 7.45pm near the Smugglers Inn, Holcombe (near Dawlish)
One fire appliance from Dawlish and one from Teignmouth were mobilised to this incident.
A spokesperson for the fire service said:
“Upon arrival crews confirmed road traffic collision involving two vehicles with one person trapped within one vehicle. Crews stabilised the vehicle and used hydraulic rescue equipment to release the casualty who was conveyed to hospital via land ambulance”
