A spokesperson for Berry Head Coastguard said:
“The female was in a precarious location and police and police negotiators who were in attendance were unable to approach. One of our team members was attached to a cliff line and sent out to speak to the women and in due course we were able to set up our full cliff rope rescue system.

“We then sent a cliff technician out to the woman who was able to attach our ropes to her and bring the woman to a place of safety and into the hands of the paramedics. ”

Specialist officers deployed 2am #Exmouth & 4pm #Berryhead Both vulnerable missing persons found on cliff top. Resolved by teamwork & skill
