English Riviera Bike Festival cancelled

The English Riviera Bike Festival has announced today that the event has been cancelled.

The two-day festival was due to take place on the first weekend of May 2020 (2nd – 3rd) in Paignton.

English Riviera Bike Festival said on Facebook: “With great sadness unfortunately due to the rising issue surrounding the uk at this time, English Riviera Bike Festival has been cancelled this year. Traders don’t worry you will receive a full refund from what you have paid to date. But we hope to be ready for everyone next year. Please keep checking for updates.

Torbay Council said: “We understand a number of local events have been cancelled due to COVID-19. To clarify, the decision to cancel an event rests with individual organisers not Torbay Council. The latest advice and information can be found at www.gov.uk/coronavirus.”

BMAD Bike festival had announced last year it would not be holding a festival in 2020 due to rising costs.

This would have been the first The English Riviera Bike Festival.

798 people have now tested positive for COVID-19 in the UK it has been announced today, Friday 13th March.
