Avid supporters of the RNLI, Exeter Pirates have once again raised significant funds for the charity that saves lives at sea.
Regular patrons of the RNLI, Exeter Pirates have donated £1,694.68 to Exmouth RNLI through various events held by them during the past 18 months. The Pirates split the total funds raised equally between the RNLI at Exmouth and Teignmouth.
Daniel Versen-Phillips, also known as Pirate Silvertongue Phillips, of the Exeter Pirates, presented the cheque to Chair of the Exmouth RNLI Fundraising Team, Des White, at Exmouth RNLI Lifeboat Station yesterday. Daniel said, “Once again it is my privilege to present Exmouth RNLI with the proceeds of our fundraisers in recognition of the important work the RNLI volunteers do in our area, and to say thank you to all those who supported Exeter Pirates throughout the year.”
On behalf of Exmouth RNLI, Des said ”We are so grateful to Daniel and his team for all their hard work and continued support in raising these funds for us at Exmouth lifeboat station. We really appreciate this significant donation that will be used for essential training and equipment for the volunteer Exmouth Lifeboat crews.”
