The family of a missing man have launched a fundraiser to hire a private investigator.
Richard Locker, 53, was last seen in Torquay on January 4, 2024.
His family are hoping to raise £2500 to fund a private investigator in a bid to find him.
The fundraiser has so far raised £1805.
Stepdaughter Chloe Wood, who set up the fundraiser, explains on the page: “We have done everything we can think of, we have searched every area possible day and night, visited homeless shelters, watched over 100 hours of cctv footage, begged for ring door bell footage, shared posters everywhere, contacted radio channels.. news channels, met with Kevin foster, been interviewed by bbc news the list goes on.. yet we still have no idea where you went that night.
“As you can imagine we are going through hell wondering where on earth he went that night. creating a go fund me was on the very last of our list but as the days goes on we are feeling totally helpless and unsure where to go next, so as a family we have decided to try and raise the funds for a private investigator.
“A lovely police officer has helped us by providing a list of reliable investigators which we plan on getting in touch within the next week.
“All we can do now is pray and hope this is the way forward to finding our Richie, so if everyone could please help share this and if possible donating anything we would be extremely grateful.”
Richard is described as a white male, pale in complexion, approximately 5ft 8ins tall, of very slim build and with short grey receding hair. He is known to usually walk with his hands in his pockets.
If you see Richard, have any information or know of his whereabouts, please call police on 999, quoting log number 309 of January 5.
