Family pay tribute to teenage who died following Exeter crash

The family of a 19-year-old who died last month following an alleged hit and run in Exeter have paid tribute to her.

Emily Brewster, aged 19, suffered life threatening injuries following the incident on Saturday 15th December. She died in Derriford hospital on 19th December as a result of her injuries.

Emily’s family have paid the following tribute: “‘Emily Brewster 19 was a much loved daughter, sister and granddaughter. Emily will be greatly missed by all of her family, friends and anyone who had the pleasure to meet her.

“A very caring and helpful person who put others before herself. Our lives will never be the same again. A member of our family left the house and never returned. Emily will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts.”

A 26-year-old man from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and being the driver of a vehicle which failed to stop after a road accident. He has since been released on police bail until 13 January 2019.
