Festive food fun with Santa

They say you shouldn’t play with your food – but at Living Coasts this Christmas, that’s exactly what kids are being encouraged to do.

The coastal zoo’s Breakfast with Santa event features food, presents – and penguins.

Living Coasts spokesperson Phil Knowling said: “Children get a pancake to decorate. They can choose from things like banana, strawberries, chocolate drops, cream and syrup – they can draw a snowman or a penguin or Santa Claus himself – or they can just pile it all on and eat it!”

Santa will personally give every child a present, and then – as this is the season of giving – children can help to make Christmas presents to give to the penguins. “They do a spot of enrichment for the penguins, so they have something to play with, too.”

The Living Coasts Breakfast with Santa experience is available on Saturday 7th, Sunday 8th, Saturday 14th, Sunday 15th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd December. It runs from 9.00am until 10.30am – booking is essential. Go to: https://www.livingcoasts.org.uk/

A maximum of two adults go free of charge with each child attending the event and can join them in the cafe. Entry to Living Coasts is not included – but children booked onto the Breakfast with Santa experience will get half price entry on the day of their experience, along with 2 adults per child.
