What better place to celebrate Christmas this year than at Torre Abbey, which has lots of fun events and activities that all the family can enjoy.
Kicking off the festivities from Saturday 30 November to Sunday 1 December, is the popular indoor Christmas craft fair, Winter Fest.
This charming and rapidly growing gift fair, now in its third year, offers quality and unique gifts for all ages. Only £2 entry on the door, open 10am to 5pm – shop and enjoy a glass of mulled wine and festive music in one of Torbay’s oldest buildings. New this year, Winter Wonder workshops taking place on Friday 13, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 December. A fun stained glass lantern-making workshop followed by a magical journey through the gardens to admire 25 beautiful fairy-tale advent windows which will be placed in and around the Abbey.
The workshop ends with a hot chocolate in the illuminated Palm House which will also be decorated with stained glass designs. Suitable for all ages, booking essential. Each session includes a 45-60 minute workshop and all workshop materials provided and the price includes a hot chocolate. Torre Abbey is open all year round. It is open between Christmas and New Year Friday 27, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 December, 11am to 3.30pm, and back to normal opening hours on Thursday 2 January 2020.
