Fines were issued to 17 people by police who were called to reports of a house party in Exeter in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 5th November.

Police were called to a property in the Wrentham Estate where they found around 30 people at an indoor gathering.

Inspector Colin Harper said: “This party shows a clear breach of the Covid-19 restrictions and a complete disregard of not only the rules but for public health.

“Officers attended the address where we resorted to issuing out 17 fines to individuals.

“We hope that this serves as a reminder to those considering to flout the rules- we will take action.”
