Smoke can be seen from across Torbay.

There are currently at least 6 fire engines in attendance including the aerial platform at the scene in Victoria Parade.

It is believed that the fire started by a tumble dryer. It appears to be above Jack’s cafe and bar.

The road is closed. Police are also at the incident.

Nearby Living Coasts have said on social media: “We are still open however guests may experience some difficulty getting to us.

“We are not directly in line and so are ok at the moment, however we will continue to post updates when we can,”
